Rama, announcement from the Assembly: I will address the Knesset on Monday

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced from the Parliament podium that next Monday he will address the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, in a special format reserved for only a very limited number of world leaders.

Rama described the invitation as an "extraordinary honor," emphasizing that he will speak as Prime Minister of Albania in the same format that, according to him, has previously been offered to the President of the United States, as well as several other foreign leaders in the history of that parliament.

According to the Prime Minister, this special privilege does not belong only to him personally or to the governing majority, but represents an appreciation for Albania as a whole. He emphasized that this governing majority is supported by the overwhelming majority of Albanians and that the invitation to speak in the Knesset gives a special dimension to the relations between the two countries.

Rama added that the names of other leaders who have had this privilege are easily verifiable and that this fact makes the invitation to Albania even more significant.

"Now in closing, I want to inform you that next Monday I will have another extraordinary honor. I will address the Knesset, the parliament of Israel. As Prime Minister of Albania, with their permission, of course, in the same format that I reserved some time ago for the President of the United States, as well as a very limited number of foreign leaders in the history of that parliament, whose names can be easily found, but they give a very special dimension to the privilege that has been given to me and this governing majority, which is supported by the overwhelming majority of Albanians, but also Albania itself, to speak in that assembly.

But since in this case the list is really short and the opponents of the board just finished counting with great passion the guests on the board... "not all the countries, no it's not this one, it's that one", as if the numbers say something big about a country like ours... Trying to tell Albanians that the presence on the Peace Board was something mechanical, automatic, with no connection to the values, the role, the international reputation of Albania, that it's not about me, I want to underline that for Albania, for me and for us, any invitation that is not extended to all the countries of the world is considered an honor", said Rama./ CNA
