GJKKO decision on the charges against Lapaj/Shehaj: He received money from

MP and leader of the Mundësia Party, Agron Shehaj, spoke today regarding the decision against him by the Special Court in the case with Adriatik Lapaj.

In a television appearance, Shehaj explained the case in more detail, emphasizing, among other things, that he and Lapaj do not share the same political and ethical positions, which is why he ruled out the possibility of a merger.

"I decided to tell the truth and for this reason Lapaj accused me of defamation. Today the court has decided that I did not defam, it has decided to fine me for insult because Lapaj felt insulted. But what is most important is that defamation is a charge that has been dropped, and the court has dismissed it. Telling the truth has a cost. I am more than willing to pay the fine but the important thing is that I did what was good for the public interest so that they knew who we were dealing with. Should I remain silent? Simply the accusation of insult is ridiculous, because he felt insulted. What about the citizens who were lied to and he sold himself as immaculate and a savior but in fact he was taking money from organized crime. The court has said that I did not defam. This is the reason why I decided to tell the truth. Albania's problem is not Adriatik Lapaj, but the people who stand behind this phenomenon. That is why I started it as an issue. For which union "We talk? I said it before the elections, and now, we can't be together with just anyone.
