PSD denounces Benet Beci/ Doshi's warning: We will demand an investigation

PSD announced in a press statement that it will not participate in the Shkodra Municipal Council meeting on May 7, 4 days before the elections.

PSD Chairman Tom Doshi emphasizes that Benet Beci, the head of the Shkodra Municipality, wants to transfer the administration of Velipoja beach to the Shkodra Municipality's joint-stock company "Bio Strajca sh.a" and then to a company associated with his wife.

Doshi denounces that Benet Beci wants to rob citizens of public spaces in Velipojë and return them for a fee.

He underlines that he will denounce and demand an investigation into any suspicious tendering.

"PSD will not participate in the Shkodra Municipal Council meeting on May 7, just four days before the parliamentary elections, where in addition to 6% social assistance, Benet Beci seeks to transfer the administration of Velipoja beach to the Shkodra municipality's joint-stock company "Bio Strajca sh.a" and then to a company linked to his wife.

We do not condition anyone and are ready to vote on social assistance on May 13, after the elections, but we do not become parties to Benet Beci's corruption.

Benet Beci wants to rob citizens of public spaces in Velipojë and return them for a fee, that's how greedy he is. We, as PSD, will denounce him and demand an investigation into any suspicious tendering.

The PSD does not compromise with the abuse and seizure of public assets by Mayor Beci.

We remain steadfast in protecting the public interest and are determined to be the voice of citizens and not the facade of the mayor's secret political or family deals.

"We reiterate that we support families in need, which are the core of the PSD program in these elections, and we are also ready to vote for the 6% social assistance fund at any time after May 11," the press release states./ CNA
