SP rejects request for Election Investigative Commission/Manja: It is based on the claims of the Albanian MEP

The Socialist Party has rejected the request of 38 Democratic Party deputies to establish an Investigative Committee of the Assembly to control the legality of the activities of central and local government bodies, as well as to verify the use of state administration resources for electoral purposes in the elections of May 11, 2025.

The Chairman of the Laws Committee, Ulsi Manja, stated that the request is not based on facts and does not meet constitutional criteria.

"We assess that the request of 38 MPs for the Commission of Inquiry does not meet the legal and constitutional requirements, has no concrete object of investigation, but is based on the claims of the honorable MEP who met Albana. When you have the facts, we invite you to come to the fact-finding group, we have given you those commissions 100 times, but this time we will not give them," said Manja.
