"Primaries, an important process for Albania"/ Bylykbashi: High

The Democratic Party is holding primaries today to determine the candidates for MPs in the parliamentary elections on May 11. The voting process has also begun in the Durrës Region, where the political leader for this region, Oerd Bylykbashi, emphasized in a recent statement that the primaries are an important process not only for the DP, but also for Albania and its democracy.  

"The candidates will undergo the Primary process within the framework of the May 11 elections in the Durrës region, to then undergo further evaluation in drafting the list of candidates for deputies of the Democratic Party, as well as of the opposition coalition."

"From the beginning there has been a high influx, members who are coming and voting with complete regularity. A process that I am sure will remain, as one of the important moments not only of the democracy of the DP, but as one of the most important political processes of the democracy of Albania", said Bylykbashi. /CNA
