A ten-member delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, led by David Eray (Switzerland, EPP/CCE), will conduct an observation mission from 28 February to 3 March for the Hamburg Bürgerschaft (State Parliament) elections, which will be held on 2 March.

The delegation also includes the Mayor of Korça, Sotiraq Filo, who will participate in meetings with Hamburg authorities, representatives of political parties, candidates, as well as representatives of the media and non-governmental organizations. The delegation will also meet with members of the German delegation to the Congress.

During election day, six Congressional teams will be randomly distributed throughout the city to monitor election procedures at polling stations.

The mission will be presented at a press conference on Friday, February 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel (Adenauerallee 52, 20097 Hamburg). On Monday, March 3, at 11:00 a.m., at the same hotel, another press conference will be held to present the mission's preliminary findings.
