The deputy of the Democratic Party, Tomorr Alizoti, spoke about the process of the primaries of the Democratic Party, which took place on December 4.

Alizoti said in the show "Kjo Javë" that the primaries in themselves are good, since they produce competition and make the contestants anxious.

According to him, if politics does not have primaries and competition, it turns into a bureaucratic party, so he emphasized the importance of this process for a democratic state.

"Primaries as a concept are something very good. But don't expect primaries to work perfectly the first time. Primaries produce competition and make contestants anxious. Normally there will be technical problems the first time. It is a society that has problems with democracy, because democracy means accepting defeat. It is difficult for us as Albanians, being a party-state appointed by X, Y, to accept defeat. Politics did not have primaries and the race turns into a bureaucratic party. The party, the candidates agreed with the rules, there is no doubt that there may be dissatisfaction and irregularities", said Alizoti./ CNA.al
