"Cashless Albania 2030" presented/ Minister Ibrahimaj: National initiative to increase digital payments

This Thursday, the national initiative called 'Cashless Albania 2030' was presented in Tirana.

In her speech during the presentation, Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj emphasized that this is a national program that aims to increase the use of digital payments.

According to the minister, this initiative will serve citizens and businesses, through facilitation of cashless payments.  

"A project in cooperation with the Bank of Albania, but we have discussed and worked with other banks and associations over the past year. It is a national program to reduce cash in the economy through the drafting of a program for digital payments, as it has been requested before to establish a program for digital payments, so that each actor takes on their responsibilities and duties. It is also an objective of the government, but it also goes parallel to the goals of the Bank of Albania and the World Bank. It is also in the interest of Albanian citizens and businesses", said Ibrahimaj./CNA
