SP MP: The Ministry of Health must address some concrete and necessary needs for

SP MP, Romina Kuko, took the floor in the Assembly during discussions on the draft law "On the accession of the Republic of Albania to the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Print Disabled, done in Marrakesh, on 27.6.2013".

Kuko, during her speech, said that the Ministry of Health, in detailing next year's budget, should also reflect several needs, which she described as concrete and necessary.

"I would like to address the Ministry of Health and Social Protection so that the budget for the coming year reflects these needs: transportation of children in rural areas, support for families, accessibility to schools and institutions, strengthening day care centers, monitoring social funds in municipalities. These are concrete, measurable and necessary needs.

"Today, with the Marrakesh Treaty, we open an important door towards access to knowledge for citizens who cannot see. But the next step is equally important, to advance support services for families and fair and dignified treatment, and for this, it is not enough to be remembered only on December 3rd," said Kuko. /CNA
