Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, has accused DP MP, Jorida Tabaku, of lying regarding a request for those who benefit from the settlement of tax or customs duties.

He stated that Tabaku's request reached the Ministry of Finance only a week ago, not a month ago, as she said. The Minister said that he has also clarified in the Investigative Commissions that there are 202 thousand beneficiaries of the tax or customs amnesty.

"I don't understand how you manage to lie with words and images, that you have been sending this for a month, when it has been a week since the letter arrived at the Ministry of Finance. The information you are requesting cannot be shared because it is personal data. Regarding the beneficiaries of who are those who benefit from the customs or tax amnesty, I have told you that there are 202 thousand beneficiaries," said Malaj.

The Minister also responded to MP Agron Shehaj, telling him that he had not read the draft law to understand it as it is.

"Mr. Shehaj, you have not read any of the draft laws, because you would have understood that those who are under investigation, criminal prosecution, do not benefit from the cancellation of obligations. Inform yourself before you come and make empty political rhetoric ," the minister said. /CNA
