The General Secretary of the SP, Damian Gjiknuri, declares that in the next elections, the socialists will show their place to those he described as "two dark old forces that have reunited with new names".

During the presentation of the new leaders of the Socialist Party in the 27 local units of Tirana, Gjiknuri emphasized that the new team will be the pride of the victory of the SP with the Mayor Erion Veliaj at the head and with the support of Prime Minister Rama.

"I am convinced that in the next race we will show the place to two old dark forces that have reunited with new names. They are the same, while we are the Socialist Party that always changes with new people, young girls and boys. The new team will be the pride of our victory led by the Mayor Erion Veliaj and naturally with the support of Prime Minister Rama.

Without the government, all these achievements of Tirana would be impossible. Let's not take our victories for granted. Let's fight for them every day. We have a patriotic duty, not a party one. That's why I ask all socialists to come together. If we are all together, there is no force that can stop us", said Gjiknuri.

He emphasized that the citizens are aware of who are the ones who have worked these days and who are the ones who speak empty words. "We have a strong race ahead of us. Indeed, we have many achievements, Tirana has undergone extraordinary changes, but when you have been in government for many years, even some dissatisfaction creates it. But we are the ones who will not stop the dialogue with the citizens. People also need to understand us. We have made mistakes, there can definitely be disappointments with Erion, but we must not forget what we are facing and where we started. These are very important reference points. Don't look now that they change names. They change the skin but yes they are. They came out now in the hot summer when people want to rest and said there is no rest for us. We worked when people were working and they were asleep. So they have it in vain. Working people know how to appreciate work. Tirana is the city of working people. The citizens of Tirana know how to distinguish well who is the one who knows how to work, who is the one who speaks empty words and who is the one who keeps his word", added Gjiknuri.

Ai s’mund të jetë kurrë fitimtar, i vetëm. Ai që mendon se i di të gjitha e ka shumë gabim. Ai ka nevojë për të gjithë ju. Kjo është ajo që unë e kam parë të Erioni, dhe më vjen mirë, që i ndoqi vetë dhe i ndenji mbi kokë që ju të mos jeni vetëm edhe ai të mos jetë vetëm. Ai është komandanti juaj dhe patjetër fitorja nuk arrihet vetëm nga ai. Pikërisht ky proces rigjenerues dhe dëshira e madhe e të rinjve dhe të rejave socialiste për të marrë përsipër Partinë Socialiste tregon që njerëzit kanë besim te kjo forcë. Kjo është shumë e rëndësishme sepse një forcë tkurret dhe nuk ka të ardhme kur nuk ka më njerëz të rinj që të marrin përsipër angazhimet politike. Diferencën e bëjnë njerëzit. Ne kemi njerëzit më të mirë, këtë unë e kam bindje dhe kjo është arsyeja përse unë jam në Partinë Socialiste. Partia Socialiste ka njerëzit më të mirë të këtij vendi.
