Lëvzja Bashkë MP, Redi Muçi, today criticized DP MP, Jorida Tabaku and expressed surprise at the mention of a miners' protest in Spaç, while the DP, in its 8 years in power, did not approve the status of these workers.

In his speech in the Assembly, Muçi said that the DP does not see the protests imminent, but hopes that perhaps in the future this political force will examine the problems of social groups.

"Regarding Ms. Tabaku's proposal to include the issue related to the Spaç miners on the agenda, I am positively surprised to note that in the 2025 Assembly, the DP is mentioning the word miner and supports the proposal for this issue. While the status of the miner was also discussed, I would like to recall that when it was in power for 8 years, it did not approve the status and it is very good that it is approving it as a proposal. I hope that the majority party will do the same and not use the miners not for rhetoric. I am surprised by the fact that Ms. Tabaku mentioned the miners' protest, but just a few meters away from the miners' protest, a protest of pensioners is taking place, who are still on hunger pensions. I am surprised by the fact that the DP deputies did not notice the pensioners' protest. I hope that both the DP and the SP will come together in consensus to examine the problems of these two social groups", said Muçi. /CNA
