DP requests hearing with Rama over editorial with Vučić on EU integration

The Democratic Party has requested a hearing with Prime Minister Edi Rama, regarding a joint editorial with Serbian President Aleksandar Vu?i?, on integration issues, published on February 28.

"The editorial published in the German media proposes that the Western Balkan countries be gradually integrated into the EU internal market and the Schengen area without being full members of the union yet. But according to the Democrats, this request contradicts the resolutions previously adopted by the Albanian Parliament for full membership in the European Union and they request clarifications from the Prime Minister on this initiative. The request also highlights concern about the impact that this approach may have on the integration process and on the strategic interests of Albania and Kosovo," the DP statement said. /CNA
