The candidate of the Socialist Party, Vangjel Tavo, has won the elections for mayor of Himara. According to the data from the CEC, Tavo received 5022 votes.
While his opposition opponent Petro Gjikuria was supported by 3545 citizens, or 41.38 of the voters.
After the announcement of the victory, in a statement to the media, Vangjel Tavo stated that Petro Gjikuria is welcome for the position of deputy mayor.
