Albania-Israel Partnership / Memorandum of Cooperation in Medicine Signed

Today, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ms. Albana Koçiu, and the Minister of Health of Israel, Mr. Uriel Buso, signed a bilateral memorandum in Tirana, which expands the areas of cooperation in digital medicine, the field of emergencies, technology, medical equipment, etc.

The Minister of Health, Ms. Koçiu, in her communication on the signing of this document, emphasized the importance of partnership.

 "This memorandum comes in the wake of the partnership with the SHEBA hospital center, one of the best in the world, for the transformation of the Oncology Hospital. Work has begun to modernize treatment protocols, as well as increase the capacities of our doctors," said Koçiu.

Noting the importance of this strategic partnership in the field of health, Koçiu stated that this cooperation has a clear goal: European standards and dignified treatment for our citizens.

Minister Buso's visit was preceded by several intensive exchanges between the two countries. A few days ago, Prime Minister Rama paid an official visit to Israel. Minister Koçiu visited the SHEBA complex in March, while in September 2024, Albania hosted the historic visit of President Isaac Herzog./CNA
