"It will be ready within 1 year"/ Rama and Balluku inspect the

Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, today conducted an inspection at the construction site of the Elbasan-Lekaj highway. This highway is part of Corridor VIII, a category A investment, which has a total length of 40.7 kilometers.

In his speech, Rama said that this highway is part of a massive investment and program for infrastructure.

"It should be borne in mind that it is a massive program. It is also being done within the framework of Western Balkan investments. Today, program support for Albania remains soft credit. With EU accession, support increases exponentially," said Rama.

Meanwhile, Minister Balluku stated that the project is divided into 3 phases and that the first 20km of this third phase will be ready within 1 year.

"The project is divided into 3 phases. This is the third phase from Elbasan to Rrogozhina. We are located in fluvial geology, which allows us to move faster. Here we are in the third phase, with the construction site continuing work. I believe we will be within the deadlines. The first 20km of this third phase will be ready within 1 year", said Balluku./CNA
