Infrastructure Program 2025-2030/ Rama: Plan for two category A highways

Prime Minister Edi Rama was present this Tuesday at the event 'Infrastructure, Achievements and Challenges for Albania 2030'. At this event, Rama focused on the progress made so far in the construction and modernization of road, energy, water supply and sewage infrastructure, and the strategic priorities for the period 2025–2030.

While talking about discussions about the future, about which there are often doubts, Rama did not lack jokes.

"Today we are like those lovers who view each other with suspicion," said Rama.

Regarding the infrastructure program in the country, Rama said that the plan also includes two category A highways, connecting Albania to the EU network.

"A road has never been built with standards that make it look like a European corridor. The occupation of the road from both sides has been stimulated. On the road that goes down towards Fier, we will have to avoid the existing axis several times, while it was claimed that it would be a highway, while it is not a highway.
Now with these projects we will have two category A highways, connecting Albania with the entire EU network," said Rama./CNA
