"It was not published for the campaign"/ Rama responds to commentators

Prime Minister Edi Rama answered questions addressed to him on social media. Rama focused on questions related to the Durrës-Prishtina railway project.

To one of the comments, according to which the railway will never be finished, which the Prime Minister chose to publish precisely at election time, Rama responded that it has nothing to do with the elections, but with the new phase of the project idea level.

 "This project has been presented at every stage, even at a joint meeting of the two governments when it was at the level of a draft idea. So it has nothing to do with the elections, but with the new phase when the Austrian consultants have determined the option of passing from Shkodra through Gjakova to Pristina as the best. Therefore, our joint team has seen fit to announce the closure of this phase, because life goes on.

Second, how much this will cost will be determined by the detailed project, which will again be done by a high-level international expert and will be approved by the European Investment Fund for the Western Balkans.

But one thing is certain, that without money, the railway cannot be built and whether these projects will be finished or not, fortunately, this is not in the hands of those who only curse and mock from the cafes of Tirana or Pristina, but in the hands of those who design and work in the trenches of the future", said Rama./CNA
