This Wednesday, 'PD-ASHM' is holding a conversation with tourism associations. The meeting will be held with the participation of the leader of the PD, Sali Berisha.

In his speech, Berisha stressed that in a country like Albania, tourism should become a major factor for the economy. Berisha said that there is no support for tourism and accused of favoritism towards certain entrepreneurs in this sector.

"We need to maximize this major factor that we have, tourism. It is also a matter of security. When you host a tourist, security is mandatory. There is a responsibility towards him. In the most favorable conditions, he will do everything for tourism. You have seen how it is declining. This is not the tourism that the country should have. There is no support. Those who have hotels and give them 5 stars or casino permits have support. This is how it deeply damages the tourism industry. Narco-eruro is a toxic currency for the Albanian economy," said Berisha.

Berisha also highlighted once again the country's tourism potential, thanks to the numerous natural resources offered everywhere in Albania.

"Albania everywhere represents a real tourist potential.

This fact is better known by the residents, by the Albanian citizens wherever you go, in the most remote areas. There you find efforts to reveal the local tourist potential. There you find confidence among those citizens that their village, that their area, are attractive to tourists and are, in a word, a possible source of economic income for them.

"Tourism in Albania has unlimited potential in terms of natural resources and there is no question that this sector has experienced undeniable developments," Berisha said. /CNA
