"It didn't happen by chance"/ Korreshi: Tensions in the

Democratic MP Saimir Korreshi commented extensively on the tense situation this Thursday in the Assembly.

Invited to A2 CNN, Korreshi said that what happened was not a coincidence, but a natural reaction that came from the political situation in the country.

According to Korreshi, the opposition will continue the political and institutional reaction on several important issues, for which, according to him, Prime Minister Edi Rama cannot act as if nothing has happened.

"What happened was not a coincidence, but a natural reaction to a situation that can no longer be called normal. There can be no normal parliament when a deputy prime minister is being asked to go to prison. She should have come to ask for her resignation and a public apology. Rama cannot act as if nothing happened.

When you look at the files, you are dealing with a genocide on public funds. I say it without any fear: this has been a genocide with the state budget. These people steal from you, these people beat you and these people punish you. Come on, find this logic yourself. Deputies who have not moved from the country are declared guilty.

There can be no "normality" whenever the state budget is affected and serious allegations of corruption are raised at the highest levels of government. There is no longer a political culture when they steal. When they steal, the reaction is human.

"The opposition will continue the political and institutional reaction, because everything that is happening has a single cause, the abuse of public money and the lack of responsibility by the government," said Korreshi. /CNA
