The leader of the "Albania Becomes" Movement, Adriatik Lapaj, said today that the best solution for the Tirana Municipality race is to appoint an independent candidate who can take on this responsibility.

On the "Opinion" show, Lapaj stated that the political movement he leads has no intention of joining the opposition, which is why he did not rule out the desire for cooperation.

Lapaj added that the biggest problem of this political system is that it has failed to produce a quality political elite.

"You are witnesses to how I am being smeared with slander. I have proven that I am for cooperation. I will not oppose it. I am for cooperation. The way it will be proceeded is not right. Because it is being proceeded through a party candidate. We are talking about a city with over 7,000 thousand voters. We are talking about the largest city and the largest electorate. The big truth is that this point has come that the system has failed to produce a quality elite. It means that politics itself has failed. It is not enough for me to put 2 names on the table. It must produce a dignified man or woman to come forward as an independent candidate and we will vote for them. We have not expressed these days that we have expected a man or woman to take responsibility and run. Well, now, I cannot do hypocrisy. We cannot enter the elections with others because for us, the authors of the situation that exists today, they are on the same side as those who voted for Rama", - said Lapaj./CNA
