The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, stressed today that the best solution for the opposition in the Tirana Municipality elections is to come up with a non-political candidate.

Invited to the show 'Opinion', Shehaj said the opposition is not in a good state and political cooperation is needed to bring about this change.

Shehaj added that the right candidate for the opposition would be an individual who transcends party favorability.

"I think the opposition is in a bad situation. The solution is a candidate outside the political parties. For this, the political factor and cooperation are enough. But this formula makes you go beyond the opposition. These are elections similar to the majoritarian one. Not only does the addition bring us closer to the majority, but coming out with a joint candidate. I have been saying this for 3 months. But I cannot force them because I am convinced that a candidate outside the parties gets more votes than all the opposition members", - said Shehaj./CNA
