Public transport will no longer be dependent on municipalities, but will be administered by a state-owned company.

It is learned that the Council of Ministers has approved the establishment of the "MobAI" company, which will have 100% state capital.

"The company "MobAl", sh.a., has as its object of activity the operation of public road passenger transport services, including tourist destinations; the operation of regular specialized passenger transport services, including the transport of students and educational employees; the collection of ticket fees in a physical or electronic manner and the creation or provision of electronic systems and applications for the management, information and monitoring of public road passenger transport services. The source of income of the company "MobAl" is income from the collection of ticket fees; income from the annual fee, which is obtained from the entities that perform the service of operating public road transport services; other lawful income, which comes from the performance of activities according to point 7 of this decision and grants, loans, subsidies", - the decision states.

The new company "MobAl" will operate as a public structure, under the authority of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, which will represent the state as the sole shareholder.

The initial capital of 10 million lek will be transferred from the ministry's budget. Afterwards, "MobAl" will operate with self-financing. /CNA
