The Election Decree and the President We Don't Have

The Election Decree and the President We Don't Have

The President's Office, after approving the decree of partial elections for 6 districts, also distributed a detailed clarification that exhaustively explained all the reasoning followed until the signing of the decree.

Cna.al has previously held the same position regarding the competent court to which Veliaj could appeal, in the event of an objection to the dismissal by the Council of Ministers.

Today it is clear that Veliaj's appeal was not filed with the Constitutional Court, because Veliaj was seeking his rights there.

It was filed there precisely in the hope that by filing the complaint with the secretariat of the Constitutional Court, it would block the continuation of the process of announcing partial elections.

But since the issue of a court's jurisdiction is not separated from the whims of the complainants, the Council of Ministers did not stop at that complaint and asked the President to announce elections.

We recall that the Prime Minister watches the news as much as the President. Rama and his team had watched the evening news and had probably learned that Veliaj had filed an appeal with the Constitutional Court against the decision of the Council of Ministers signed by Rama.

The President is believed to have seen the same news as Rama but issued the decree, based on the same legal reasoning as the Council of Ministers' decision.

So, both the Council of Ministers and the President agree that the Constitutional Court is not the competent court to review Veliaj's appeal.

But Rama did not hide in this story. He was the one who declared that he would ask the Municipal Council to initiate procedures to dismiss Erion Veliaj.

The only one who is hiding is the President!

Complexed by Gaz Bardhi's warned attacks, the President did not even have the courage to come out and read the text of the clarifications of his decree.

No one can believe that Begaj sat down and wrote that reasoning himself. But he might as well read it, even if he doesn't understand it.

The question is:

Who needs a President who hides even on the day he is right?

Who needs a President who is afraid of Gaz Bardhi?/ CNA
