Prime Minister Edi Rama shared his personal experience during his speech at the Media Forum for Southeast Europe.

Rama said that he has gone through difficulties and felt insulted by the lack of respect that people have shown in the name of free speech.

He stated that they have also mentioned people who are no longer alive and for this reason he emphasized that when it comes to free speech, he is not enough of a politician.

"Being a man who has fought for freedom of speech, since I've had to feel blood, real blood, not metaphorical blood in my mouth because of that, I always have trouble separating myself as prime minister, or whatever from this part of me that feels so insulted by this complete lack of respect for so many people, who even today fight to have the opportunity to say something they cannot say, the lack of respect for so many people who have died because they said something and so on.

So it's personal to me. I know it's not a good thing, but for this part I'm not political enough and I know it won't solve anything, but I know you're not upset and that's the most important thing. That inviting your friend over and annoying him is actually the biggest disaster, in my opinion. So I'm sure you weren't upset, for the rest, if you don't agree with me, it's not a problem," he said.

Further, the head of government mentioned his young son, Zaon, as he said that the news has made him go through painful and difficult experiences in dealing with being a father.

"It's terrible when you see your children who don't understand what's going on. I have a little boy, we've done everything to keep him as far away from the news as possible, but now he's not too young to be completely ignorant of what's going on and to be faced right now by the questions that come out of this world of free speech is the most painful and difficult experience to face as a father", Rama underlined./ CNA
