"It's not just us who say it, the MEPs say it"/ Noka: The SP has

The Secretary General of the Democratic Party of Albania, Flamur Noka, spoke today during the plenary session in the Assembly, where he accused the majority of having put the parliament in a state of instability.

In his speech to the deputies, Noka said that the country's image has also been damaged by the majority, which according to him was also reflected in the draft resolution approved by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament.

Noka also focused on the part of the resolution that focuses on the May 11 electoral processes.

"You say we are damaging the image of Albania, but it is not just us. I will show you some points to the Albanians today, the draft resolution that was unanimously approved in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, both from the left and the right, and which is expected to pass into plenary session within July.

Pluralism is essential. Your behavior, madam, is alarming and contrary to the principles of pluralism.

The resolution calls for a genuine political dialogue, with the aim of promoting stability and progress. Instead, you have put this parliament in a state of instability, denying any possibility of dialogue and treating the political opponent as an enemy. This is not what the Democratic Party says, this is what the European Parliament says.

The European Parliament emphasizes in the resolution the need for effective parliamentary oversight over the functioning of the institutions. Here, as we all know, the parliament has become a blind notary of every corrupt or criminal act of the government. Today, the party-state model functions, and the parliament has become a tool of the party-state.

The same resolution also raises serious concerns about the balance of powers. According to it, the party-state has eliminated the balance of powers, concentrating all powers in the hands of the government.

The European Parliament resolution emphasizes that the elections took place in a deeply polarized environment, where the contestants did not have equal conditions. This proves that the electoral state, crime, cartels, decisions of the Council of Ministers in violation of the law on vote buying, the 'Bulgarian train', patronageists all created a glaring inequality in this electoral race.

It's not just us saying it, MEPs are saying it...

The European Parliament in this resolution expresses concerns that the ruling party benefited from the extensive use of administrative resources. It clearly states that Sultan Surreli in Albania established an electoral state in the function of victory and farce and not in the function of governance. He assigns port cartels, tenders and concessions while free citizens are violated as if they were criminals, "said Noka./CNA
