"In Germany, we sent a socialist government into retirement after 33

MEP Elmar Brok was part of the electoral meeting of DP leader Sali Berisha in Kavaja.

In his speech, Brok emphasized that Germany retired a socialist government after 33 years.

Brok underlined that now is the time to remove Rama.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we had elections in Germany, and on May 6, our party friend, Friedrich Merz, will become Chancellor of Germany. We sent a socialist government into retirement, after 33 years. After 12 years, now I am also retired. Socialists are always the same. They fail in the present. They talk about promises for the future, which they have never fulfilled, and always justify themselves. This theater must end. After all, we need a politics where promises are made and decisions are taken from the beginning.

I believe that we now live in a new world order, and we need a more united Europe, which has the opportunity to be sovereign, so that all our countries can survive in unity, democracy and progress. Therefore, I strongly believe that today Europe needs Albania, and Albania needs Europe, more than ever.

Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Berisha has led your country towards a better future. I have met him often. He brought your country to freedom. He brought Albania to NATO, and now it is time for him to get a third chance to lead NATO towards Europe. Because Mr. Rama is treating Europe the same way he treats Albania: he promises, but he never fulfills those promises. With Mr. Rama's policies, it is very difficult for Albania to enter the European Union.

Therefore, we need this change in government – ??for Mr. Berisha. I believe it is in your best interest.

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we need the right person, the right party. We need to develop common values ??and combined European and Albanian interests. Let me be clear: this city, Kavaja, is an example of this.

In March 1990, the people of East Germany voted in the first free elections for a united and free Germany. In March 1990, it was in this very city that the first demonstrations to free themselves from communist dictatorship were organized throughout Germany. All of this happened in March 1990. And this city made it possible then, so it can do it again.

I believe that back then, in East Germany, people were afraid of dictatorship. But in March 1990, they were no longer afraid. Today, in Albania, only one person is afraid, and that is Rama. And the power of democracy will win on May 11.

So, act today. Act during the coming week. I am not afraid, because I believe that from this city will come again a better Albania and a better Europe.
