"They help circulation and release economic potential"/ Rama inspects the two Elbasan-Librazhd tunnels

Prime Minister Edi Rama inspected this Wednesday the Corridor VIII construction site, where two tunnels are being built that will connect Elbasan with Librazhd.

The two tunnels being built are 1.1 km long each.

Rama emphasized that these tunnels turn traffic into an important circulation artery, as well as unleash the full economic and tourist potential of these areas.

Rama said that this investment is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

The Prime Minister announced that part of the project also includes the construction of two bridges that are directly connected to the tunnel.

"In one of the most important construction sites of Corridor VIII, where we are building two 1.1 km long tunnels that will connect the Elbasan part with the Librazhd part, becoming an important traffic artery and releasing the entire economic and tourist potential of these areas. The investment is expected to be completed by the end of this year, while part of the project is also the construction of two bridges that are directly connected to the tunnel", said Prime Minister Rama. /CNA
