State Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi stated today from the Central Election Commission that the ballot for the May 11 elections will be available almost 1 month before the start of the campaign.

Celibashi said that like never before, parties have the content of the ballot ready in time for the elections.

According to him, this remains the most important part for candidates running in the elections.

"The argument for having uniformity in the writing of the names of candidates and everything else related to the candidates remains. What remains important for the candidates and political forces is that like never before, they have the content of the ballot almost 1 month before the start of the campaign. Sometimes we have had to have the ballot even during the campaign," said Celibashi.

Celibashi said that today's decision-making consisted only of the content of the ballot. He emphasized that further corrections will be made for candidates with two surnames.

"Today's decision-making consisted of the content of the ballot. What the candidates would be like and how they would appear on the ballot. Taking into account Mr. Logu's proposal, we will approve the ballot for all 12 districts, making these corrections for candidates with two surnames. This will be the content of the ballot. This is for Tirana, while for the other districts it will be made public," said Celibashi.

Celibashi announced that the process of distributing ballots to the diaspora will be completed in the first or second week of April, ensuring that they will have the opportunity to make their choice without delay./CNA
