Text for the standardization of the Albanian language in the diaspora/

The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, and the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of Kosovo, Arbërie Nagavci, signed today the order for the approval of level III of the textbook for the diaspora "Albanian Language and Albanian Culture", which aims to include the age groups of grades 7-9.

This step continues the work begun with the approval of the first two levels of this textbook for the age groups of grades 1-3 and 4-6, further consolidating the teaching of the Albanian language in the diaspora.

"We have just adopted a joint decision for level III of the supplementary textbook for teaching the Albanian language and culture. These textbooks are the basis for teaching the Albanian language and culture to children in the diaspora. After we have completed and the supplementary textbooks Level I and Level II are already in the hands of students, Level III is coming for grades 6 to 9, thus concluding the cycle of primary education with the primer and further and lower secondary education, that is, up to grade 9. For us, this is another step towards standardized teaching of the Albanian language through these textbooks, which are unified, standardized. Textbooks that come supported by the expertise of both parties and I really want to thank both working groups, which are in fact one working group and which have had the task of completing this very important process of finalizing the joint textbooks of the Albanian language and culture, with which children in the diaspora learn. and also teachers have them as a guide precisely to achieve the maximum quality of their teaching of the Albanian language and culture. The texts are also in digital form on the respective websites of our ministries, the Diaspora Publishing Center and also the Ministry of Education and Science of Kosovo. I am also pleased that these texts will be in the hands of children and teachers starting from the next academic year, also having in hand the primer and the text for Level I, II and III that we just signed together”, said the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu.

Kosovo's Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, described the cooperation between the two ministries in recent years as extraordinary.

"During these last four years, the cooperation in the field of education with the Ministry of Education and Sports, here with Minister Manastirliu, has been extraordinary and we already have many results in this regard, after the finalization of the joint primer, a text with which all our little ones in Kosovo, Albania and some municipalities of North Macedonia learn, and now also the children there in exile, we have already finalized the III text "Albanian Language and Albanian Culture", texts with which all our children in exile will learn, thus completing all levels of the curriculum for teaching the Albanian language and Albanian culture", - said Nagavci.

This cooperation between the two countries constitutes an important step in protecting and strengthening the Albanian language, making it present and accessible to all Albanians, wherever they are.

Another important event is the Joint Albanian Language Olympiad, which includes ninth-grade students from Albania and Kosovo. /CNA
