The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, in a discussion about "Social Housing", accused the head of the Municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, and his officials. 

Meta emphasized that the "5D" Municipality did not receive from the builders a share of the 3% fund for ready-made housing, which it should have given to citizens in need. 

Regarding these denunciations, Meta emphasized that SPAK has closed its mouth, since the prosecutors of this structure have relatives employed in Tirana Municipality who have benefited from apartments. 

"We have another scandalous fact that seriously compromises the current government and the Municipality of '5D', it is the 3% housing fund, that is, it aims at ready-made housing that should be taken from builders, who receive permission for the area over 26 thousand meters square meters to be given to the citizens as social housing and this fund has not been made available to the citizens, but it has been used to make bargains by the municipality of '5D' and its similar Rilindas throughout the country with the builders. They have been violated citizens have been evicted from their homes. Until 2022, about 26 thousand square meters, the Municipality of Veliaj should take these from the builders. SPAK has closed its mouth on denunciations. This denunciation has been made to SPAK for a long time , but because the prosecutors have relatives there employed in the Municipality of Tirana and receive apartments as favors, they keep this case closed. The Municipality of '5D' has made bargains with the builders. Criminal construction is killing the health of thousands of residents in the capital ", said Meta./ CNA
