With Celibashi's signature/ CEC responds to DP regarding invalid ballots

The Central Election Commission has officially responded to the Democratic Party regarding the request filed by the DP for the verification of unused ballots in the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025.

The CEC's response states that there are 99,455 unused ballots belonging to 233 voting centers, which were incorrectly reported as "0" in the relevant minutes, and the rest of them were declared invalid after being sent to centers where electronic voting is conducted, were incorrectly reported as used, or had inaccuracies.

CEC's response to the DP:

Dear Mr. Nuri

In response to your request regarding the immediate verification of ballots used for the elections of May 11, 2025, we inform you that:

The number of 1,935,328 unused ballots includes only the reported quantity of these ballots according to the minutes of each VC.

To this number should also be added:

27,340 ballots for 74 VCs, where electronic voting was applied, EAZ No. 27 (Vora Municipality) and EAZ No. 41 (Administrative Unit 10, Tirana). As can be understood, these ballots were not used either;

99,455 unused ballots that constitute the amount of these ballots for 233 VCs, in whose minutes the number of unused ballots was incorrectly marked with "0";

5,369 are unused ballots but their numbers in the logical test are estimated to have been reflected with errors in the relevant minutes for each VC (there are 1,380 VCs that reported this data with errors).
