Manjani: SPAK should release the evidence for Berisha or let him go free
Former Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani

The former Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani, reacted strongly to SPAK regarding the accusations leveled against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

Through a status on social networks, Manjani says that SPAK must produce the evidence for Sali Berisha's indictment and take him to court for trial, otherwise he emphasizes that he must be freed in his activities.

He declares that it does not make logical sense for the DP chairman to be separated from parliamentary activity, as he claims that he cannot obstruct the investigation.

The former minister underlines that with Sali Berisha SPAK has gone too far and exceeded every logical and legal limit.

Full statement:

SPAK will either extract the evidence to incriminate Sali Berisha and take him to court for trial, or let him go free in his activities.

This work no longer works!

It became completely stale.

They have been investigating for 3 years in a row, they are entering the 5th month of keeping the other under an absurd, completely disproportionate security measure.

Now it makes no sense, in any kind of logic, to keep a member of parliament separated from the parliamentary activity and the political activity of a party leader. Even more of the largest opposition party.

What is the meaning of keeping an opposition politician out of his political duties by force?!

How does he damage or hinder the investigation?! Only if the investigation is political, the person being investigated can obstruct it...

On the other hand, I insist, after 3.5 years of investigations, a prosecutor either takes the case to trial with charges and evidence, or closes the investigation.

Usually, when you don't find anything after 3 years of investigation, you don't find anything anymore. Even more so in the case of corruption, which is a matter of flagrante, not the interpretation of events or circumstances...

This investigation was started on a complaint, where the complainant must have referred concrete evidence. If no evidence was cited, or the references are false, the whistleblower should be investigated for false reporting.

But let's leave this last, because maybe SPAK is not in line for now.

They overdid it with Sali Berisha. They have crossed every logical and legal limit, yes.

Let alone Jamarbër Malltezi and Fatmir Bektashi, who are being kept under investigation, even with security measures, because they took their property and developed it!!!

This logic no longer holds./ CNA
