Science laboratories in high schools/Manastirliu: New investments to improve

The four science laboratories at the “Sami Frashëri” Gymnasium in Tirana have been equipped with new teaching materials for biology, physics and chemistry, as part of an investment by the Ministry of Education and Sports. The aim of this investment is to improve the quality of teaching, by creating modern and practical conditions for students.

The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, visited the new laboratory facilities and emphasized the importance of spreading this standard to all schools in the country, regardless of their location.

"There are 80 laboratories that have been equipped with teaching aids this year, we will continue to equip schools in the future because it is necessary for every school, whether in the center, the suburbs, the village, or the city, to create opportunities for students to learn equally, with the same standard," said Minister Manastirliu.

The laboratory equipment includes primary and secondary schools, with the aim of fostering students' research and analytical skills through modern and interactive teaching.

During the meeting with the students of the "Sami Frashëri" high school, Minister Manastirliu praised their commitment and emphasized the importance of continuing investments in this direction:

"Your achievements make us feel good and make us invest even more in laboratory capacities and in all necessary didactic materials, so that creative work and laboratory work can be as complementary as possible to all the theoretical knowledge you receive," said Manastirliu.

The development of STEM laboratories is an important step towards modernizing the education system, offering students the opportunity to develop practical skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. These laboratories not only foster creativity and teamwork, but also prepare young people for the job market and for successful careers in fields with high demand for scientific and technological expertise./CNA
