"Historic election because the diaspora also votes"/ Rama from Milan:

Prime Minister and Socialist leader Edi Rama is in Milan, Italy today. During his trip to the neighboring country, Rama is part of a meeting with Albanians living in the Italian city.

In his speech, Rama said that the May 11 elections are historic because for the first time, Albanians abroad will also vote.

Rama stated that this will not simply be a political vote for the party that will govern in 4 years, but also beyond parties, as it is a vote for Albania.

Rama said that this is another opportunity for Albania to become a member of the united European family in the next 4 years.

"I am grateful that you are here today, in an extraordinary hospitality. And I am grateful to you for this hospitality.

It is the first time in our electoral history that you, and all other Albanians abroad wherever they live, will be able to vote, without having to come to Albania.

I'm glad we made this commitment a reality too.

Now every Albanian who wants to speak out for their country has the opportunity without leaving their place of residence.

It was said that in the first election in which they participate, our fate would bring us to an election that is like a final confrontation with our history.

With one vote, we can change the course of history. A vote to change the direction of history.

To invest our vote in what we want to achieve together.

"A political vote for the party that will govern in 4 years and beyond parties, for Albania that in 4 years we can make a member of the united European family," Rama said./CNA
