The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, is today at the KLP, where he is conducting the annual report on the work of the justice institution. In his speech, Dumani also focused extensively on the changes in a full year of work.

Dumani, during the 2024 reporting, said that there are investigations initiated from citizen reports.

According to Dumani, there will be an increase in criminal proceedings in the period 2022-2024.

The head of SPAK emphasized that in 2024, with the assistance of international experts, investigations into property crime were conducted at SPAK.

Dumani also shared some other statistical data regarding measures taken in cases investigated by SPAK.

"There are investigations initiated from citizen reports. A change in reports from the State Police is being noted."

In 2022-2024, criminal proceedings are recorded in an increasing trend. Their increase is proven by 9.37%. 218 cases completed and an increase of about 13% with the cases of 2023.

In 2024, with the assistance of international experts, investigations into property crime were conducted at SPAK.

A financial investigation is also being launched in parallel with these investigations.

The value of the seized assets is in 59.7% of cases. 65.5 million euros is the value of the seized assets.

This is 43.8% of the total value.

SPAK has requested a criminal policy in accordance with European regulations.

270 detained persons are under investigation. 165 persons have been imprisoned by SPAK proceedings.

145 cases have been tried in SPAK. 54 of these cases have already been concluded.

The prosecution takes measures and supervises measures against criminal proceedings.

20 decisions have become final from the first instance. 3 decisions have gone to the Supreme Court.

The case management system is being implemented in its entirety. By 2025, we aim to have reports and statistics operational.
