"Elections are crucial for integration"/ Balla: EU passport is

The Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, was today part of the meeting with Albanians in Milan. In his speech, Balla thanked the Albanians of Italy for their journey and the record-breaking turnout for the May 11 elections.

"I thank you with all my heart for this entire journey that we have made together in all these months. We have met in every corner of Italy. You have welcomed us. I want to thank you, the Albanians of Italy, for breaking the record and breaking all expectations. A full 100 thousand of you registered," said Balla.

Balla said that an EU passport is very possible if we all come together on May 11th and vote for the Socialist Party.

"Look what one of you asked me to say here today, who actually understood the whole message that we are trying to share with you. He gave me his Italian passport and his Albanian passport and said: 'I will vote for Edi Rama and the Socialist Party because I want my Albanian passport to be the same as my Italian passport.' Sisters and brothers, sisters and brothers, could you have imagined 10-12 years ago that a moment would come when we would be so close, that we would receive our European passport, that we would see our Albania a member of the European Union in the mandate that you will give us on May 11?

The European Union passport is very possible if we all come together on May 11 and vote for the Socialist Party. Only Edi Rama and the Socialist Party will we manage to see Albania a member of the European Union. With the European passport, the girls and boys of our Albania will be able to study at any university in Europe without having to be considered international students, but European students. With the European passport, every Albanian will be able to have a work permit without having to go through an endless 30-something year-long history, queues at the police stations waiting to receive a permesso di soggiorno, or whatever those other work permits are called," Balla said.

According to Balla, these are the most crucial elections regarding the completion of Albania's membership process in the European Union, and here every vote has its own importance.

"Sisters and brothers of the diaspora, I know that you have made up your mind to vote for Edi Rama and the Socialist Party, but there are still some who think: I'm taking my vote here, I'm taking my vote there. Not there, not there, not to those who supposedly sell themselves as young people, but are older than the owl itself in approach."

"You will understand that you can't do anything to them. At most, you will give one of them a job in parliament. At most, one of them will be elected as an MP now. You have me here who has been dealing with parliamentary numbers all my life, and a number in parliament can't do anything. D You need 84 votes in parliament, not 71 to get the job done. And only the SP will have 84 votes thanks to the diaspora vote," Balla said.

Balla called on Albanians to vote now as soon as the envelope from the CEC arrives.

"Each of you should contact the postal service and fill out the envelope. Neither left nor right, but in the middle of the 5th, to Edi Rama and the PS", Balla said. /CNA
