The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, reported today to the KLP on the annual work of the Special Prosecution Office. Among other things, Dumani focused on two issues, the performance of some of the institution's employees and the necessity to improve working conditions.

Regarding the results of the employees, Dumani said that as in every institution, there are some employees in SPAK who have been criminally prosecuted. Dumani also mentioned cases from the State Police.

"As our investigations show, during 2024 there were proceedings and police officers were arrested. They were involved in organized crime. There were also cases for our prosecutor colleagues. But this fact does not tarnish the entire State Police. Because there are employees with integrity who fulfill their duties responsibly," said Dumani.

Dumani also said that there is a need to improve working conditions and that the new fund will provide new offices and equipment to assist investigations.

"Like in every institution, we have very good BKH investigators, who make our work easier. There are others who are not. In the last evaluation, it was noted that there are good employees, but also employees who leave something to be desired.

Training is also being conducted. There is also a lot of work with EU projects. Conditions have not been good for the BKH. There are 4-5 employees in an office.

The fund has been received. We hope it will become functional. There will be more comfortable conditions.
