The head of the parliamentary group Gazment Bardhi has told why the rift happened between him and Lulzim Basha.

Invited to the Opinion show, Bardhi said that he understood that Basha's goal was not to strengthen the DP, but to divide the party.

He said he changed his mind when he realized the party was dying.

"I have thought of another way of how the issue of DP should be resolved, I have always fought for the unification of DP. I can't count on a party divided into 7 pieces defeating Edi Rama. I understood that his (Lulzim Basha's) goal is not to strengthen the PD, it was to keep the PD divided. This goes against the gratitude I have for the sacrifice of each party member.
