The democratic mayor of Fushë-Arrëzi Municipality, Hil Curri

The democratic mayor of Fushë-Arrëzi Municipality, Hil Curri, has sent a letter to Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding the immigrants who will come from Italy.

Curri offers himself that the expected emigrants settle in Gjadër, he shelters them in Fushë-Arrëz.

He states that he is ready to work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure the welfare and integration of immigrants.

Mayor Hil Curri's letter:

I understand that the Prime Minister of Albania, in cooperation with the Prime Minister of Italy, has agreed to allow immigrants from Italy to stay in camps located in Albania, especially in some
selected municipalities. I want to express my willingness and desire to host some of these immigrants in our territory. Fushe-Arrëzi is a community that amazes with a beautiful territory, which enables us to offer suitable accommodation and support for these individuals.

Our municipality has a long history of welcoming visitors with open arms. I feel a special pride for the warm and hospitable nature of our people, which has been a characteristic of Albanian culture for generations. It is a part of our identity that I hold dear and I would be honored to extend this tradition to immigrants in need. I am ready to work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure the well-being and integration of immigrants placed under our care.

Moreover, the community of Fushe-Arrezi is ready to make a positive contribution to the lives of these individuals by offering them a supportive environment where they can build their lives, find security and have access to the necessary resources. Our municipality is ready to cooperate with the government, non-profit organizations and international bodies to ensure that these immigrants receive the help they need. I respectfully request the opportunity to engage in a constructive dialogue with the relevant authorities to discuss the details and logistics of housing immigrants in Fushe-Arrez. I am ready to work diligently to meet all the necessary requirements and to provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for these individuals.
