Concession for Butrint/Zhupa appeals to the Constitutional Court, accusations

The deputy of the Democratic Party, Ina Zhupa, addressed the Constitutional Court with a request.

Zhupa appeals to the highest body of justice instead of calling witnesses regarding the Butrint park concession.

She said that she has requested that the government disclose to the Constitutional Court all the documents that have been served to UNESCO regarding Butrint.

Among other things, the deputy stated that the Constitutional Court should hear all the witnesses who are parties to this process.

Zhupa emphasizes that Butrint is the wealth of all Albanians and that this is a battle beyond politics.

"This is a fraud brought to UNESCO by the Albanian state just to say that we have not violated the Paris Convention. They lie, and besides, they haven't brought documents to either me or the Constitutional Court for a year and a half. Our demand will be the obligation of the government to bring all the documentation related to UNESCO before the Butrint concession is decided in the Assembly. We cannot enter into a judgment with the truth hidden from us. It is important that the Constitutional Court is 100% convinced of the violations of the Constitution.

Butrint is not our property, but that of all Albanians. This is a battle beyond politics and belongs to all of us as Albanians. The second request is related to the summoning of witnesses for Butrint. The court must listen to those who were part of the decision-making process. A constitutional process cannot take place without listening to what Butrinti says is Greek. I asked to call the former American congressman who dealt with Albanian issues.
