The dismissal of Çuç and the appointment of Balla/ The Prime

The Prime Minister will submit to the Presidency the proposals for the dismissal of Bledi Çuçi as Minister of the Interior and the appointment of Taulant Balla to this post.

According to the Constitution, the answer from the Presidency is returned within 7 days and then it remains for the Parliament to examine the decree within the 10-day deadline.

Bledi Çuçi was appointed as Minister of the Interior in December 2020, while Taulant Balla holds the post of head of the Socialist Parliamentary Group since 2017.

Çuçi was dismissed after sensational events, most recently the brutal violence of the Rraja tribe against two members of the Maja family.

After the event, Rama announced the dismissal of Bledi Çuçi and the appointment of Taulant Balla as Minister of the Interior.

This move by Rama has caused many reactions in the ranks of politicians and analysts where many of them do not consider the appointment of Balla to the position of Minister of the Interior a fair decision./ CNA
