The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, in a statement to the media after the end of the parliamentary group meeting, said that it is not yet clear when the plenary session will take place, as tomorrow's stage must first be passed.

Balla once again extended his hand to the opposition to propose the names of members of the Regulatory Council.

"There is a consultation, for a proposal to be accepted, it must be proposed, we took the initiative and invited the opposition. Right at the beginning of the meeting, the Speaker of the Assembly asked the opposition to propose the names of the members of the Rules of Procedure Council because the committees are the only place where we can meet with the opposition.

The Albanian Parliament must have a new organization, reflecting the historical moment we are in, the need to approach the EU membership agreement, so that we finally have a parliamentary committee for the diaspora.

We have held 2 sessions, in the third we will establish institutions.

"We don't know when the next session will be. We need to review the decrees on the government and the program within this week, we need to have the conference of mayors ready to dictate the time of the debate. It is imperative to pass this unreviewed stage tomorrow, so that we can close the other processes within this week," Balla said.

Balla also responded to Bardhi, who said that the meetings were called for three days as if the country were in an emergency.

"On an issue like the reorganization of the Assembly, I do not share the same opinion.

"I think that according to parliamentary tradition, we changed the rules with the agreement and proposal of the opposition leader at the time," he said.

The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group also responded to the accusations about the committees, mainly the European Affairs Committee. Balla said that it went from being secondary to primary.

"Rama's proposal is an elevation to the highest possible level of the committee on European affairs. When this committee started 20 years ago, it was a committee where membership did not count, it was a second-rate committee. It becomes the most important committee. This committee should belong to the majority according to the Bundestag model," said Balla.

The leader of the SP Group also spoke about regaining the position, describing it as what he knows how to do best.

"I believe that together with you and together with everyone, we must do what we know how to do best.

"I have done excellent work together with Prime Minister Rama even in the position of Minister of State, but this is a task that I really enjoy," said Taulant Balla./ CNA
