Ilir Alimehmeti, one of the candidates who ran with the Democratic Party in the Tirana Region and filed an appeal for his result from the May 11 elections, reacted today after this afternoon's decision by the Constitutional Court, which rejected his request and that of 3 other candidates from the Democratic Party. In a television appearance, Alimehmeti said that the decision was not based on the evidence submitted, but on an artifice.

Alimehmeti stated that he has evidence of errors in the figures in the election minutes.

 "In fact, they did not deal with our requests, with the content of the evidence, but they dealt with a meaningless artifice that is "the subject must request a recount", while the leader of the DP has expressed his support. This much I know from the session, the essence is that it is not based on the evidence sent but on an artifice. We are waiting for the next steps. I myself have identified incorrect figures in the minutes in the evidence. We have also seen several cameras, irregularities in hundreds of votes, not only mine, which are different in the video from the minutes. If the political subject had to send a letter, they should have told us", - said Alimehmeti./CNA
