The Complaints and Sanctions Commission (KAS) reviewed this Friday the complaint filed by the Democratic Party, regarding the results of the May 11 elections in the Korça region, certified by the CEC. The DP claims that there were numerous irregularities and for this reason has requested the declaration of the elections in this region as invalid and their repetition.

The DP has filed the same petition for other regions of the country.

During today's session at the KAS, the director of legality at the CEC, Pavlina Doça, stated that in this process for the Korça Region there were no irregularities or violations that could have led to a change or distortion of the result.

"There were no irregularities or violations that led to a different result or its deformation. The CEC has analyzed and approved the summary tables of results as for all regions, so we have the same assessment for Korça, that there was no impact on the result and the subject's claims do not stand", said Doçaj. /CNA
