EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos, in her speech at the Center for European Studies conference in Brussels, said that Albania will open another group of chapters in June. Kos stated that there is an agreement with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Kos stated that there will be new EU memberships from the Western Balkan countries.
"Of course, within my mandate as Commissioner for Enlargement we will have new EU memberships from the Western Balkan countries. With Edi Rama we have an agreement. I always insist that this process be based on merit, but we have reached a compromise to finally realize that marriage of Albania with Europe. We need to open another set of chapters with Albania and this will happen in June and with this we will have opened all the negotiation chapters. Then the closing of the chapters will begin, which is also a very important process", said Commissioner Marta Kos./CNA
