The opposition candidate for the Municipality of Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, explained in detail some key points of his program aimed at reducing the cost of living in Tirana and easing traffic.

Regarding the underpass in "Skënderbej" square, Këlliçi said that based on the studies done by his team, citizens will save 5 thousand road kilometers in one day.

" Citizens will save 5,000 kilometers of road in one day, that is, as much as is calculated today in the current state, the flow that is traversed by all the vehicles that pass through that junction, one of the most problematic in Tirana.

"Only that segment, which is 200 meters and does not touch Skenderbej square in any millimeter" , he said.

Kelliçi declared on Marsela Karapanço's show that citizens will be able to save every day, 0.24 tons of oil, as much as they spend today by going through the current route.

"According to the experts, in that node alone, it is calculated that the flow of vehicles and traffic discharges 234 tons of carbon dioxide in a year, which is eliminated with the underpass project in 'Skënderbej' square, thus contributing to the reduction of pollution, but also stress" , he emphasized further.

The opposition candidate said that the underpass project, which serves thousands of citizens per day, costs no more than the personal garden that the Prime Minister has recently built, in the premises near his office./ CNA.al
