"I am a radical, I will let the people lead us"/ What Paloka warns

A little while ago, the meeting of the National Council of the Democratic Party started. The meeting was opened by the chairman of the National Council, Edi Paloka.

The latter stated that today's meeting will focus mainly on the February 20 protest and will be mainly organizational.

He declared that he is a radical person by nature and emphasized that he will let the people lead the protest.

However, Paloka emphasized that the primary task of the Democrats is to ensure the largest turnout ever achieved.

"The Parliamentary Group has been reacting strongly for months, it will continue its resistance. There have been quite a few reactions from the media and international institutions to fulfill the constitutional obligations of the opposition.

I want to remind you that all these reactions from the media and institutions came only on the day when the parliament caught fire. I'm not saying this to instigate anything before February 20, but to make it clear to everyone that if we don't react, the internationals won't be behind us either.

Those who still expect to solve our problems, those who practically do not live with our problems, are wrong. Therefore, we should see February 20 this way.

First of all, I went to that, let's call it, radical part of the DP and the democrats expect a lot from this protest. However, our main, primary task for February 20 is participation.

In the first place, we must show our strength with participation. February 20 is there, when we will be in the square with tens of thousands, as Berisha has said, he has also said publicly that; he leads the people once, and once he leads you.

I insist once again that our duty, that of the deputies, the National Council, all DP structures, is to ensure the largest participation that we have ever achieved on February 20," said Paloka./ CNA
