The former socialist deputy, Ervin Bushati, has stated that he does not see it impossible for Erion Veliaj to have another mandate as the head of the Municipality.

During an interview in Studio Live, Bushati said that new people should be tried for the capital as well.

According to Bushati, the municipality should no longer be seen as a springboard to move to the Prime Minister.

“Nëse Rama ndjek zërin e arsyes për më të mirën e qytetarëve shqiptarë, do duhet të mendojë edhe më mirë për qytetarët. Që s’ka garë kjo dihet dhe e ka një mandat të sigurt. Do marrë 85% të popullatës, s’ka sfidë në këtë pikë. Duhen provuar edhe njerëz të rinj, edhe për kryeqytetin gjithashtu. Nuk duhet parë si trampolinë politike më bashkia, Bashkia është për të rregulluar jetën e qytetarëve, nuk duhet të politizohet kaq shumë. Duhet këputur ky kordoni umbelikal që lidhet mes bashkisë dhe zyrës së kryeministrisë. Jo kush është kryetar bashkie duhet të ketë ëndrra për t’u bërë kryeministër”, tha Bushati.

Bushati theksoi se bashkia mund tu kishte shërbyer edhe më mirë qytetarëve.

Ndër të tjera, Bushati u shpreh si sigurt për fitoren e PS në zgjedhjet vendore.
