"The Freedom Party is a personal party"/ Former member of the DP

The former member of the DP National Council, Edvin Kulluri, spoke about the opposition and their leaders, who are Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Kulluri called Meta's PL a personal party.

As for PD-PL cooperation, Kulluri thinks that Ilir Meta and Sali Berisha do not intend to unite against Edi Rama, but are afraid of losing their positions in the party.

“Këta duan të ngjiten, nuk duan të bashkohen. Bashkimi është proces tjetër, por këta nuk duan ta bëjnë sepse nuk duan të humbin pozitën. Meta e ndihmon opozitën me ato vota që ka. Koha ka treguar se Meta, kur nuk është në pushtet apo kur nuk është pranë pushtetit, bie në elektoratin fiks prej 80 mijë vota.

Të vetmet rritje eksponenciale  të Metës dhe partive që ai ka drejtuar, është kur ai është në pushtet ose pranë pushtetit. Partinë e Lirisë, e shikoj si parti personale.

Of all the political actors, Meta is the least problem. The main problem is that the separation of the political leader from the citizens is getting bigger and bigger. All political leaders are in decline. Berisha and Meta have been in politics for 32 years, they have gone through all the stages. They want to be resurrected several times. They want to exceed the biblical dimensions" - said Kulluri./ CNA.al
